@Cheznikkkk considering that Nick is playing “Opie’s Opus” which is a hard tenor solo ment for advanced players he can play it well considering its made up of nothign but Spiders and rolles and dittles
@djsm182 haha either that or mab its bcuz he was good enough to march phantom regiment a few yrs ago and is a music major at southern miss.. haha. jus a thought. btw. the year he marched phantom they won dci.
Ha.. Hitting rim shots or the rim altogether as absolutely nothing to do with if you use Nylon Mallets, Snare Sticks or any other stick for that matter. The difference between a Tenor mallet and a snare stick is the bead at the end, the fulcrum positioning and shape, and weight. Plain and simple. This guy.. Or Nick, KILLED this tenor piece… Stop hating on what you don’t have and admire his talent.
he so clean cause he knows how high his hands need to go the snae would get ate alive fromwhere im from because stick higth the judges down here dont like it
Can someone please explain the backsticking technique he uses in his solo? The on where he holds the stick straight out and hits it with both sides. I vaguely understand the idea, but I can’t figure out how to use it practically.
the way they tuned the snares leaves zero room for uncleanliness. SCV rocks. to have snares that dry and still be unbelievably clean is incredible
@bluestarhopeful The only thing I really have to trade with would be Latin Lover
@Sn4re23 If you haven’t gotten the music yet, let me know. I’ll trade you for it. I have all three parts (snare, bass, tenor).
@dylstick3 a dude…
@XHManxXx thats what its based off
That intro solo is cool
what brand and model of snare is that… and how can i get one to sound like that?
is the snare on the far left (the blonde person) a chick or a dude?
I really like how to tenor part flows
wicked.
@XHManxXx the beginning is based off of it
@woolters Try looking up rhythm X. Scottish drumming will never compare with WGi, as should know considering I do both.
@woolters evill !
it sounds alot like Crazy Army at the beggining
I hate to be like the ninth person to ask @FeistyCoconut for the music, so i’ll trade someone for it. Unless Fiesty is feeling generous haha

sounds like legend of a two eyed soldier
@GP3PocketSnare But they are by far the hippest line in the lot…0:56
@tollhouseballer No problem
@cdmouse9 I’m going to call technical support and if I get it resolved I’ll send you a message.
holy fucking shit those snares are tuned SO FUCKING HIGH!!!!!!
@FeistyCoconut me too! haha please
MAN THAT CADENCE IS GROOVY!!!
do u know where i can get the snare music for this?
@FeistyCoconut OMG that would be so awesome. I’m dying to learn this past the first part. Thank you
@slipchikin back in the old days like the civil war the snares were tilted hence why they had use traditional and not matched
why is his snare titled???? traditional grip is for untitled snares

snare, your good, but with those skills no reason to play that high especially inner notes on flams….more like double stops
I wonder why every corp style drumline uses that same snare solo for that solo cadence…? >.>
wow, eventhough i am really good at drums, this makes me look weak.
tenor player is awsome snare is awsome as well so clean
matched on a tilt, schweet

Guy at 2:33 was really dirty
the tenor drums were tuned a little too low for me but it was still really good
@Cheznikkkk Seconded.

niiiiiiice. that split was so good!
I love how everyone is saying that Nick isn’t hitting rims because of his mallets. Think it’s possible that he’s just really really good? I do.
@floggy3 It’s kinda hard to click when you’re using mallets.
Yeah…. I think I give up lol.
Oh my god. How the fuck do you get this good? ha.
@treefalse, so did our drumline!
The guy at 2:30 just wanted attention guys, give him a break
where can i download this sheetmusic? any one know? and the audio
@floggy3 because he is using the MT2-A felt mallets
I wrote an entire cadence around the solo at 0:52.
